A New Home
January 19, 2010 § 25 Comments
I have been having much trouble with my previous blog home/host. It regularly freezes, and every other day, would be completely unavailable.
So I’ve moved here.
I’ve worked with wordpress.com, and don’t have many complaints. In fact, the only one complaint I have right now is that [sushu] has been taken, and I have to use [sushublog]. But then again, I guess it’s still alright.
A new home for a [slightly used] new year.

A little note about Books on the Nightstand, which I’ve also linked on the sidebar. I found out about their podcasts from Mee, and I’m loving them more and more. I’m now trying to listen to ALL their previous podcasts, and it doesn’t even matter that they were recorded a long time ago, because their topics are still very relevant, and the books they talk about, most of them I still have yet to read.\
It’s a great blog, great conversations. Go visit. =)
Thanks for providing your new address. I will change it in my blogroll. π
Hope to see you around here often. =)
I heart Books on the Nightstand too π

Yay! =)
How did you import your previous blog?
I exported the blog (found it in the settings) and saved it as an xml document. Then I set up a new accound here, and imported the xml doc that I had saved. And voila! it’s all here! Some minor tweaks here and there, and a little time consuming. But doable. =)
That sounds really cool and awesome! Didn’t know that it was so easy to move blogs! I know friends and some fellow-bloggers who actually copied posts manually one by one.
I did have to look around before finding out the easiest way to do it. =)
I entered a google reader subscription to this site also so I will not miss anything-good luck with your new host-
Thanks. But do you want to check if you’ve subscribed to the blog, or just to this comment thread? The RSS feed for the blog is on the top right-hand corner of the page. =)
Congrats on the move. I dont know who your last blog was with but I left blogger for wordpress and have never been happier its just so much easier. Looking forward to all of you future posts!
Hooray for your new home! I like it π Hey, thanks for that link to the podcast. I love bookish podcasts, and since it appears to be a weekly thing, I think I’d subscribe to it π
Congratulations on the move! I hope you settle into your new home quickly and easily.
congrats on your move! i’ll change my links π
I did listen to all of their podcasts! π I’m sad that I don’t have many new ones to listen anymore, but at least they still release one every week (it used to be every 2 weeks).
They’re very good. The main problem I have now is that they’ve given me so so many suggestions on books that I’ve got this long list of books to read now!
Haha! I know the feeling. I have more books on my list (and my shelf) than I can read in two or three years π
The thing is, I borrow most of the books I read.. So that’s the main problem. I have to return them!
I LOVE the updated look by the way π
This is a great look! It’s so clean, and easy to navigate, and effective. Who knew that su(shu) would be taken?! And I thought we had unusual blog names!
I KNOW! When I found out it wasn’t available, I thought for a moment that there was a conspiracy! *laugh*
LOL! That’s one possibility π
The new blog looks great π I’ve added it to my feed reader!!
Will add new link. Thanks.
Hey, thanks for the Books on the Nightstand love, and thanks to Mee for recommending it to you.
I love the look of your blog — very slick and modern. I feel like I’m at a sophisticated cocktail party in a New York City loft!
